1. Aequor is not a medical device

Aequor is a companion for your mood: you record how you are, you read a reflection of ancient wisdom reflection, and over time you find again what you have told it. It's not a medical device, it is not a health product and it has not been through any conformity assessment as such.

2. What the app does not do

3. If you're feeling bad right now

If you're thinking about hurting yourself, or if someone close to you is in danger, contact your country's emergency services right away. In Italy 112, in the United States and Canada 911, in the United Kingdom 999, in Australia 000.

Aequor cannot call them for you and cannot recognise a dangerous situation. Inside the app you'll find a button that dials your country's emergency number, but the decision to call is yours.

4. The reflections are not advice

The reflections Aequor shows are prompts of ancient wisdom — quotes from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus — meant to accompany the day. They are not a professional opinion, they are not therapy, and they should not be followed as an indication of what to do with your life.

When the reflection is personalised, it is composed from your own data (how you are today, what you have talked about in recent days) and, if your phone supports it, rephrased by Apple Intelligence on the device. It is still generated text: read it for what it is.

5. If you're following a therapy

If you're in treatment, Aequor does not replace or add to the path you are on. Do not change anything you have been prescribed based on what you read here. If something worries you, talk about it with whoever is treating you.

6. Your data stays yours

Everything you write stays on your device. Aequor has no server and sends nothing anywhere. You can export your data at any time, free of charge, and delete all of it from the app's settings.
